Jeff Alden and Matrix Motorsport return to the TCR UK Championship in 2026 with a clear objective: to defend the Gen 1 title, deliver a consistent season, and—above all—enjoy the racing.

With headline support from Celeski London and the team’s long-standing partners, Matrix Motorsport enters the new season full of confidence and ambition. For 2026, the team has committed to running the Opel Astra TCR Gen 1, placing strong emphasis on reliability, performance optimisation and season-long consistency.

A key element of the 2026 programme is the continued technical collaboration with Lubner Motorsport in Germany. Leveraging their extensive experience running the Astra Gen 1 in European TCR competition, the partnership is focused on extracting maximum performance while ensuring the car delivers dependable results across every round.

Having competed in TCR for several years, Matrix Motorsport now has a clear understanding of what is required to run at the front consistently. With a strengthened technical package, experienced engineering support and a unified team approach, the foundations are firmly in place for a competitive campaign.

Jeff Alden said:

“Defending the Gen 1 title is important to us, but this year is about more than that. We’ve worked hard to make the Astra Gen 1 a stronger, more reliable and more competitive package. Working alongside Lubner Motorsport gives us access to real experience with this car at European level, and that knowledge is invaluable.

We understand what it takes to be consistent in TCR now. If we execute properly, stay disciplined, and keep enjoying what we do, I believe we can have a very strong season in 2026.
